There are over sixty thousand WordPress plugins and tens of thousands of themes. The official directory lets you search them; it does not help you decide. Most "best of" articles cover the same dozen products and are written once and never revisited.

WPThumbs is the other approach: take the whole catalogue, tag every product against what it is actually for — the purpose, the industry, the builder it plugs into — then rank it with a score computed from public evidence. That makes it possible to answer narrow questions ("a booking plugin for a salon", "a lightweight theme for a clinic") with a real shortlist rather than a guess.

What we do not do

• We do not host, distribute or sell software. Every product links to its own official page.
• We do not accept payment for inclusion or for a position in a list.
• We do not invent numbers. Products without public data are shown unscored.
