AutoPost AI

AutoPost AI is a queue-based WordPress content assistant for generating blog ideas, creating long-form posts with AI, adding images, and keeping content creation organized inside the WordPress dashboard.

The free version uses GPT 5.4 for topic generation, post content, keyword extraction, and featured-image prompt building. AutoPost AI Pro uses GPT 5.6 Sol and expands the workflow with advanced image options, approval tools, publishing automation, and additional production features.

Core workflow

1. Select a WordPress post category and request AI topic suggestions.
2. Review the suggestions and add selected topics to the Post Creation Queue.
3. Add topics manually when you already know what you want to create.
4. Create a queued post immediately with Create Now, or let WordPress cron create queued posts on your configured cadence.
5. Review created posts from the Created Posts list and edit or view them from WordPress.

Free version features

• Generate category-based topic suggestions with GPT 5.4.
• Avoid re-suggesting topics that are already stored in the queue for the same category.
• Clean generated titles before they are shown, queued, or used as WordPress post titles.
• Add AI-suggested topics or manually entered topics to the queue.
• View pending topics, category, creation order, estimated days until creation, and topic creation date.
• Create an individual queued post immediately with Create Now.
• Delete pending queue items.
• View created and published queue entries with edit and view links when the WordPress post is available.
• Create standard WordPress posts as Draft or Published.
• Schedule automatic queue processing at a configurable interval in days. The plugin checks the queue through a 15-minute WordPress cron event.
• Generate long-form HTML post content with GPT 5.4.
• Apply the saved ChatGPT pre-prompt as brand and website context.
• Clean AI output, including code fences, markdown noise, chatty lead-ins, and forbidden dash characters.
• Limit generated posts to a maximum of 2 internal links.
• Attempt to include at least 1 viable external informational reference.
• Retrieve inline images from Pixabay.
• Insert up to 5 inline images into generated post content.
• Fall back to the bundled placeholder image when Pixabay does not supply enough inline images.
• Use a sixth Pixabay image as a featured-image fallback when available.
• Optionally use Stability AI Stable Image Core for the featured image when a Stability AI API key is saved.
• Generate the Stability AI featured image at a fixed 3:2 ratio.
• Build title-aware featured-image prompts and suppress generic camera gear unless the post topic actually calls for it.
• Use the basic Image Generator with Stability AI Stable Image Core.
• Choose 16:9, 1:1, 3:2, or 2:3 for standalone Image Generator requests.
• Save generated standalone images to the WordPress Media Library.
• Optionally append a custom linked CTA to generated posts.
• Optionally send an email notification when a post is automatically created.
• Save and reset the ChatGPT pre-prompt from the Settings tab.
• Save OpenAI and Stability AI API keys through the plugin dashboard.

Generate Topics & Queue Posts

Select a category, request AI topic suggestions, refresh the suggestions, select the topics you want, and add them to the queue. The plugin excludes the Uncategorized category from the selector.

Post Creation

Add a topic manually, manage the pending Post Creation Queue, create a post immediately, delete pending topics, and review Created Posts. Queue and created-post tables support loading additional rows.

Post Creation Settings

Configure:

• Post Creation Time Frame (days): minimum 1 day.
• Post Status Upon Creation: Draft or Published.
• Add Post Footer Call to Action: optional.
• Call to Action Text: shown when CTA is enabled.
• Call to Action Link: required for the linked CTA block to be added.
• Email Address for Notifications: optional and used for automatically created posts.
